Property

Pronunciation: /ˈpɹɑp.ər.ti/ Explain

A property of an object is something that is always true for an object. Examples:

  • The property of addition of zero: Zero added to any number equals that number. a + 0 = 0.
  • All squares have equilateral sides.
  • Distributive property of multiplication over addition and subtraction: a( b + c ) = a · b + a · c
